I’ve heard that talent attracts talent. When people are skilled and passionate about an art form, others with similar talents are drawn to them. That is definitely the case when it comes to music at encounter. Not only do we have the incredibly talented encounter band, but within the people of encounter are other bands. Check out their sites:
If there are more that I haven’t listed, let me know!

We hope you have a memorable and hope-filled Christmas this year! Our family is filled with gratefulness for all that God has brought into our lives this year. Of all that the things and experiences He has sent our way, the most valuable and meaningful have been the people we have met through encounter. Their stories, friendships, and time spent together, have been a deep well of joy, love, and life to us this year.
And yes, that is Ranger – the family dog.

Got to see the construction of the new Cowboy Stadium yesterday – incredibly impressive! A friend works for Manhattan – the construction management team for the project and he allowed us to get in a see a little of what’s going on. Because of safety and legal matters we were only able to see a limited amount. We were driven around the stadium and allowed to stand at a point on the west end of the stadium.
The immense size of the project is overwhelming. The two arches that span and support the roof are huge! On projects like this I am always amazed at the number of people that are all working there at the same time on so many different jobs. Our tour-guy told us that yesterday alone there were 700 people on site working. I am amazed at the coordination it takes for that type of work.
We took video that I’m sure will show up in an encounter message soon. Great illustration material!
